A small, early brochure on Sound Control of Jet Airplane put out by McAir. The photo is of an F2H-2N Banshee (123300) backed into an outdoor muffler system while doing engine run-ups. This is similar to that was put forth in this brochure. As jet engines became more powerful, a “hush house” was built for these runs. Credit: the Greater St. Louis Air and Space Museum.
